The Laguna Mar Chiquita is a salty lake of variable surface because of
cycles of flooding and drought, in 2003 its highest level ever recorded
flooding a big area and consume the lives of many trees which are
composing the background of the photo. in the foreground the Chilean
Flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis) and halfway the coscoroba Swan
(Coscoroba coscoroba).
